Rollout Context
How high-conversion food visuals delivered a verified 38% sales increase
When customers browse delivery aggregators like Uber Eats, they do not read lengthy descriptions—they eat with their eyes. For The Good Pizza, an artisanal pizza and panini specialist operating as a key culinary branch within The Good Grocer in Myaree, having outstanding food was only half the equation. The real challenge was translating the aroma, texture, and handcrafted quality of their menu into thumb-stopping digital assets that convert casual scrollers into completed orders.
Before our shoot, the restaurant faced a common hospitality dilemma: while in-person supermarket shoppers and local walk-ins loved the food, online delivery listings and digital channels were underperforming. Listings without dedicated hero photography suffered from low click-through rates in the crowded Myaree and Melville delivery radius, suppressing basket additions and capping revenue.
Amplify Creative Lab stepped in to execute an on-location commercial shoot specifically structured for multi-channel utility. We designed the production workflow around three core revenue drivers:
1. Delivery Conversion Architecture (Uber Eats & Online Ordering)
Delivery app photography requires a very different approach than traditional editorial food styling. On a mobile screen, an Uber Eats thumbnail measures less than 300 pixels wide. If the crust blister, melted cheese pull, and topping density are not immediately obvious at a glance, the customer scrolls past.
We shot each core pizza and panini using high-contrast, directional lighting that accentuated the crisp dough bubbles, glossy cured meats, and vibrant fresh basil. Dishes were framed at both 45-degree perspective angles (for primary menu item cards) and clean 90-degree overhead angles (for multi-item ordering grids). We also specifically highlighted high-margin add-ons—such as the decadent Nutella dessert pizza and specialty paninis—directly prompting customers to upgrade their cart value.
2. Local GEO Signals & Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
Food searches on Google Maps and search engines rely heavily on visual relevance and local authority. By deploying geotagged, high-resolution photography across The Good Pizza’s Google Business Profile and digital channels, we strengthened local GEO signals for high-intent search queries like “best pizza Myaree”, “lunch paninis Melville”, and “artisan pizza delivery Perth”. Search engines reward businesses that regularly refresh their profiles with customer-appealing, authentic visual proof of their actual offerings.
3. Cross-Channel Menu & Social Media Consistency
Because all assets were captured within a unified lighting, color, and focal profile, the resulting library gave the management team complete flexibility. The exact same high-resolution files now power:
- The digital and printed in-store menus behind the counter at The Good Grocer Myaree.
- High-performing paid social ads and organic Instagram/Facebook content.
- Third-party ordering platforms (Uber Eats, DoorDash, Menulog) with zero visual dissonance.
The Commercial Outcome
The impact was swift and measurable. Following the deployment of the new visual asset library across Uber Eats and digital menu boards, the store manager confirmed a verified 38% increase in sales. The uplift was directly attributed to higher conversion rates on delivery listings, increased add-to-cart frequency for high-margin sides and desserts, and stronger local brand recognition across the Myaree catchment.
This project underscores the fundamental philosophy behind our Perth restaurant and food photography service: professional imagery is not just an aesthetic upgrade—it is a measurable conversion engine for modern food businesses.
